Solar Film Project in Berlin

Solar Film Project in Berlin

In collaboration with our project partners, GARBE Renewable Energy – GREEN GmbH and der Heliatek GmbH, the innovative solar film project was inaugurated in Berlin Hohenschönhausen in October 2021.

The pilot installation is intended to demonstrate the potential of using façades or buildings with insufficient load reserves for conventional PV systems. Heliatek is the world’s first series producer of organic solar films whose patented technology can be applied to almost all building surfaces, including curved and arched ones. The project is funded by the EU Commission as part of the ‘Life’ programme. In total, the Heliatek solar films were applied to 480 m2 of façade surface.
